South Whittier Library Near East Whittier Lists Limited Parking During Construction

EAST WHITTIER, Los Angeles County — Residents planning to use the nearby South Whittier Library should be aware of a current parking limitation posted by LA County Library.

The branch at 11543 Colima Road, Whittier, CA 90604 says parking is limited due to construction until further notice. The county’s official library page includes the warning alongside its normal hours and access information.

Regular library hours

The branch lists Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with Sunday closed. Telephone: 562-946-4415. It offers children’s activities, library computers, digital collections and meeting and study rooms.

What is not yet known?

The notice does not specify when parking construction will end or exactly how many spaces remain available on a particular day. Visitors needing accessible parking, transporting children or making a short stop should contact library staff before traveling.
