Amelia Mayberry Park Near East Whittier Provides a County Senior Nutrition Contact

EAST WHITTIER, Los Angeles County — Older residents looking for nearby recreation and nutrition information can contact Amelia Mayberry Park, one of the Los Angeles County parks listed in the department’s senior services materials.

The county’s food and recreation directory lists Amelia Mayberry Park at 13201 East Meyer Road, Whittier, CA 90605, with phone 562-944-9727. The county’s park operations materials also name Mayberry Park among facilities associated with senior nutrition services.

Do not assume meals are served every day

Program eligibility, site schedules, funding and food distribution arrangements can change. A facility’s participation in a county directory does not guarantee that a meal is available on a particular November date. Residents should call staff to verify the current service, registration rules and accessibility arrangements.

Other nearby services

The park is also a public recreation location serving communities in the greater Whittier area. Families should consult the operator’s event page for current activities, rather than treating an old flyer as a new public event announcement.

People who need additional food assistance can request county service referrals through established public information channels, including 211 LA, instead of relying solely on recreational park programs.
